Tunocracy: privacy policy and terms of use

This page covers the Tunocracy app for iPhone and iPad, made by Prado Software. Last updated October 2026.

In short

What data the app uses, and why

To run the room (Google Firebase)

Rooms live in a Google Firebase Realtime Database, on Google servers in the United States. When you join or create a room, the app signs in to Firebase with an anonymous ID, which is not linked to your name or your Apple account. In a room, the database stores:

Anyone who has the room code can read that room. The legal basis is providing the service you ask for. Room data is kept until we delete it; write to us and we'll delete a room or your anonymous ID (tell us the room name and an approximate date, since we have no other way to find you).

Lyrics (LRCLIB)

To show the lyrics, the app asks lrclib.net, a free lyrics service, for the title, artist and duration of the song that's playing. Nothing about you is sent.

Apple Music (only if you use it)

Ads (Google AdMob)

The app is free and shows a banner from Google AdMob. Google may use your device's advertising identifier, your approximate location from your IP address and how you interact with ads, to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Union and the United Kingdom), the app first asks for your consent with Google's form, and you can change your choice at any time from "Privacy options" in the app. Apple then asks whether to allow tracking: if you don't, the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not personalised. See how Google uses data in ads.

On your phone only

Children

Tunocracy is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to info@pradosoftware.com. If you are in the European Union you can also complain to your data protection authority. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone.

Terms of use

If this policy changes we'll update this page and its date.

En resumen

Responsable

Tus derechos
